Tunisia
The OSS is an international intergovernmental organization with an African vocation based in Tunisia. The OSS initiates and facilitates partnerships around common challenges linked to the shared management of water resources, to the implementation of international agreements on desertification, biodiversity and climate change in the Sahara and Sahel region.
The BRICKS project (Building Resilience through Innovation Communication and Knowledge Services) is one of the projects implemented by the OSS.
The BRICKS project is a six-year regional knowledge and monitoring hub. It supports TerrAfrica’s Sahel and West Africa Program (SAWAP) with USD 1.1 billion. A program operating in 12 countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan and Togo) whose operations are financed by the World Bank as well as related activities supported by partners who together contribute to priorities of the Great Green Wall Initiative (GGWI) of the region and its clients.
This regional World Bank project uses a DELTA monitoring and evaluation system.
