As the principal representative body of the State in the field of indigenous affairs, the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council aims to protect the interests and promote the aspirations of its members and of the indigenous community as a whole . NSWALC is the largest indigenous organization based in New South Wales.

The New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) is committed to securing a better future for indigenous peoples by working for the return of culturally important and economically viable lands, seeking cultural, social and economic independence of its people, by being politically proactive and by expressing the position of indigenous peoples on issues that concern them.
